Is their any difference between the new and old Tecumseh's be- side the intake because iv blown 2 brand new Tecumseh's all properly installed.

many parts are the same from new to old. Tecumsehs are good and dependable....I never have had any problems with them

WHAT BIKE WERE YOU RUNNING THEM ON?? ON ALL MY 1970 & UP RUPP'S I ALWAYS PUT MY FRONT WHEEL UP ON A MILK CRATE TO CHECK THE OIL, BEFORE I START IT, IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT DIP STICK YOU SHOULD DO THIS, WHEN I WAS A KID I BLEW MAY MOTOR'S ON MY RUPP ROADSTER2, BAD DESIGN PUTTING THE MOTOR ON THAT SLANT.. THE ROD ALWAYS LET GO..
