I have a few questions. First off, i own a rupp rmt 80. i believe it to be a 74? all i really see is 72's though. can someone help clarify the year for me? also it needs a new throttle cable. where can i find one? any info is GREATLY appreciated. i picked it up cheap from original owner, she couldnt remember the year. her ex boyfriend was going to replace everything with all new OEM. stripped it down, repainted the tank blue cuz "he doesnt like red vehicles" and painted the frame silver. I have a painter friend who is going to respray it for me though...and with real paint, not spray cans! i have the rest of the parts in a box, gotta put her together. thanks RMTboi

Thanks for posting the picture of the RMT. I'm afraid I don't know a whole lot about the RMT's. Hopefully someone will log on to the message board with more information. Be sure to take lots of pictures as you restore the bike so can post them on RuppBikes.com. Paul

Yeah, I'm goiing to keep a "picture journal" of the restoration. should be interesting to say the least. Especially since I have a box of parts and no manual or parts list what so ever haha. I'm going to school in September for motorcycle mechanics and figure, what a place to start. If I can fix this, other bikes shouldn't be a problem :-)

Cyle, you have an L-80 not RMT80. The Hodaka engines are NOT the same as the L80 engines, so use caution

This picture (actually off this website) is what convinced me it was an RMT b/c thats exactly how it looked when it was new. and it was labeled RMT 80 so i put two and two together and figured it was an RMT...lol www.ruppbikes.com/images/Rupp2.jpg
